my depth map is white/blank! doing HDR Toning > Method: Equalize Histogram DOES NOTHING

my depth map looks like this no matter what i do. ive done HDR Toning > Method: Equalize Histogram, ive changed the vlaues with curves and levels, i’ve turned on depth of field in keyshot, i don’t know what to try next. HELP!!
Someone suggested that I add a plane in the background, and now my depth map is completely white, but doing equalize histogram still does nothing

edit: I FOUND THE ANSWER. The issue was i was exporting as regular psd and not psd-32bit!! make sure you change the output to psd-32bit and check the add to psd checkbox. open the psd file and under the render passes folder, the depth pass will be there, from there you can copy it into a new document and do image, adjustments, hdr toning, equalize histogram

This is what the manual says, but I think you found that already:

I’m not sure how you save your images but I think to use the depth pass you need a 32-bit image output like exr or tif.

It already is outputting as EXR, and like I said in my post I have already done the solution in the documentation. I even put it in both the title and the post itself, I mentioned it three times. That’s where my issue is, the fact that doing what the documentation says is not working and it is still blank white

You may react a bit calmer especially when someone is trying to help you in his spare time. But happy the ‘32-bit’ I mentioned did the trick. Would be nice if they would add it to the manual though.

i did not mean to sound uncalm
